Takamine Tadasu, who works not only as an artist but as a choreographer, uses human bodies of all shapes and sizes, and also the incongruity of the body as launching points to explore social problems and the irrational human behavior they cause in his artworks.
In this work, the fan-shaped water tank lined with sand is filled with turquoise water. Images of women swimming while slowly spinning are projected into the illuminated water, making it look as if they are mysterious spiritual beings in a zero-gravity space or in the womb. There is also a mysterious mechanical sound that resonates with the images. By combining these artificial images and sounds with the very tactile and physical presence of the water they are imbued with a strange softness.
